Helping Our Medical Efforts – Serving Oʻahu’s Houseless Community

The Hawaiʻi HOME Project, led by medical students and faculty at the University of Hawaiʻi John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM), offers free, compassionate healthcare to houseless individuals across Oʻahu.

They provide a wide range of medical services, including:

  • Management of acute and chronic conditions
  • Vaccinations and TB testing
  • Laboratory testing and minor surgical procedures
  • General physical exams and health counseling
  • Vision testing and dental screening
  • Free medications for the uninsured
  • Referrals and transportation assistance

They’re currently recruiting volunteers to help with patient check-ins, community outreach, fundraising, and events supporting houseless keiki.

Volunteer Shifts Available:

  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 1PM – 5PM
  • Thursday & Friday: 8AM – 12PM
  • Saturday: 2PM – 5PM
