Resources

Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP)

UROP coordinates and promotes opportunities for undergraduate students across all disciplines at UH Mānoa to engage in faculty-mentored research and creative works. Project and presentation funding are available on a semi annual and monthly application cycle respectively.

ForagerOne

ForagerOne is a searchable database of faculty and student profiles and opportunities to help students determine which faculty member is best-suited to serve as their mentor.

IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE)

INBRE provides opportunities for aspiring biomedical researchers through the Student Research Experience (SRE) program. Students work closely with their mentor to achieve research objectives tailored to the student’s goals.

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REUs)

REUs are National Science Foundation funded undergraduate research programs. An REU Site consists of a group of ten or so undergraduates who work in the research programs of the host institution. Each student is associated with a specific research project, where he/she works closely with the faculty and other researchers. Students are granted stipends and, in many cases, assistance with housing and travel.
