Operation Wallacea

Operation Wallacea has run biodiversity research expeditions for the last 25 years to a series of sites (mainly biodiversity hotspots) worldwide (, helping university students from around the world gain valuable experience and get their hands dirty with real biodiversity research. From dense jungle and European grasslands to coral reefs and Mediterranean seagrass meadows, our network of more than 200 academics assist in developing and leading cutting edge research projects that help to inform local conservation management strategies.

UW Pharmacology Open House

The UW Pharmacology department hosts a diverse field of research areas including neurobiology, biochemistry, structural biology and genetics/gene architecture. This year they will be holding 2 virtual informational events to provide more information to prospective students about their graduate program, department, and the admissions process. Summer 2022 Dublin Organic Chemistry Info Meeting

Want to earn credit for Organic Chemistry while traveling abroad? You can earn UHM credits for Organic Chemistry I and II Lecture and Lab (CHEM 272, CHEM 272L and CHEM 273, CHEM 273L) towards your UHM Degree as a College of Natural Sciences student while studying abroad in Dublin, Ireland!

SMART Scholar Panel Webinar

Join Department of Defense leadership and SMART scholars on October 19 at 1:30 p.m. to learn more about the SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program and hear scholar journeys. The SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program offers STEM students who are currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. a full scholarship, internships, annual stipends and guaranteed employment with the Department of Defense. Applications must be submitted by December 1, 2021.

2021 JABSOM PBL Demonstration Dates

An orientation to the JABSOM curriculum will be held which includes an explanation of PBL and the opportunity to take part in a PBL exercise.

This session is strongly recommended for those applying or planning to apply to JABSOM.
