- Written Consent to Release Educational Records
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) generally prohibits the University of Hawai'i from disclosing personal identifiable information from a student's educational records to a third part (including parents and spouses), without prior written consent by the student.
Currently enrolled students may authorize the release of specific educational records by completing the Consent to Release form to identify which records can be released, to whom they can be released, and the purpose/justification for the release.
It is important to note that the “Consent to Release” is not a blanket authorization to release all academic records.
Directions:- Fill out the Consent to Release Form
- College of Natural Sciences Petitions
The University of Hawai'i at Mānoa recognizes that circumstances outside students' control can arise and interfere with their academic journey. The petition process exists to help limit negative effects to their academic record as a result of these circumstances. It is highly recommended students work with an academic advisor to draft their petition request and fill out the Academic Standards Petition Form when requesting an exception to University policy.
Directions:- Schedule an appointment via STAR Balance to meet with a SASC College Advisor to discuss potentially petitioning and guidelines.
