The Advanced Imaging Workshop is offering The Biological Electron Microscope Facility (BEMF) in June 2024! This is a unique opportunity to transform your view of the world through advanced imaging and discover the microscopic world in lava tubes! Students will characterize microbial mats with genetics, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and laser scanning confocal microscopy. The workshop is open to qualified upper-level undergraduates, graduate students, post docs, and faculty.
An application is required and enrollment is limited. The workshop is offered over two weeks from June 17-28, from 8:30 am to 5 PM M-F (though some days may go longer), and full attendance on all 14 days of the workshop is required.
To apply, contact Orion Rivers, PhD at orivers@hawaii.edu.
