Noelani Kong-Johnson is working with Dr Kamil Deen (Linguistics), Dr Jonas Vibell (Psychology), and Dr Andy Stenger (fMRI, Queen's Medical Center) to investigate the neural processes behind language comprehension in bilingual children and adults. Their study is focused on Hawaiian-English bilinguals, where their goal is to share their finding with the community to encourage families to raise their children bilingual.

They are using an fMRI to take scans of the participants' brains to show what is going on when sentences are processed. Some responsibilities include helping to put the task together, collecting data, and prepping the data for analysis.

They are ideally looking for someone who speaks Hawaiian and interested in neuroscience, but welcome anyone interested to apply!
