Applications for the Fall 2025 Mānoa Political Internships are due on February 15th, at 11:59pm (HST) via the STAR Scholarship System! Check out the two early application orientations fore the semester ends on Wednesday, December 4th (4PM - 5PM) and Thursday, December 12 (5 PM-6 PM).
Sponsored by the Hawaii Office of Homeland Security, the National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium (NCPC) is offering free cybersecurity training workshops! Register for the Cybersecurity Resiliency in Industrial Control Systems (PER-398) on Wednesday, December 11 from 8AM-5PM.
The Student Success Center, in collaboration with the Office of Student Academic Success, will host Yoga for Academic Wellness sessions this December. These classes, designed for all levels, aim to enhance both mental well-being and academic performance. Led by certified instructor Kayoko, the sessions will take place on December 3rd, 10th, and 19th from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM in Queen Liliʻuokalani Center (QLC) 412. Space is limited, and registration is encouraged on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are welcome to attend one or all of the sessions.
The Center for Astrophysics | Harvard and Smithsonian, alongside ASIAA and U.H. will be holding a school in Hilo from January 6-10, 2025. The goal of the school is to provide a broad knowledge of interferometry and data reduction techniques at (sub)millimeter wavelengths for graduate students, postdocs and scientists outside the field of sub-mm interferometry. Some travel support for early-career researchers will be available as needed for participation.

Bio Station summer courses are field based and experiential. Students spend the summer gaining hands-on ecological experience in the beautiful outdoors of Northwest Montana. This is a fantastic opportunity for college students (undergraduates and graduates) to learn something new or grow their knowledge. This experience helps student be more competitive for internships and the post college workforce.
The National Student Exchange program offers an affordable opportunity for students to spend 1-2 semesters studying at partner campuses across the U.S., Canada, Guam, the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. Applications for Spring 2025, as well as Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026 are being accepted now. The priority application deadline for SY 25-26 is February 15, 2025, with final deadlines varying by campus.

As an HMAR intern, you'll work with Hawaiian monk seals, sea turtles, and seabirds, assisting with field responses, animal assessments, and interventions like rescues and rehabilitation at our HMAR Care Center. Applications are now open for the 2025 NOAA Coastal Management Fellowship. Graduate students who have completed or will complete their master’s, doctoral, or professional degrees between August 1, 2023, and July 31, 2025, are eligible to apply. This unique two-year fellowship provides postgraduate students with valuable on-the-job training in coastal resource management and policy, working with state agencies and nonprofit organizations on projects selected by NOAA. The fellowship offers a competitive salary, medical benefits, and travel reimbursement. Applications are due by January 24, 2025, and the program will begin in August 2025.

NOAA Ocean Exploration is excited to announce that the application for the 2025 Explorer-in-Training program is now open! The Explorer-in-Training program will feature two paid internship options: (a) 10-week, summertime opportunities and (b) 2-4 week expedition-based opportunities. Applications for the 10-week summer internship and the 2-4 week expedition-based ocean mapping internship will be accepted on a rolling basis, with a priority deadline of January 31, 2025.
