Applications for the Fall 2025 Mānoa Political Internships are due on February 15th, at 11:59pm (HST) via the STAR Scholarship System! Check out the two early application orientations fore the semester ends on Wednesday, December 4th (4PM - 5PM) and Thursday, December 12 (5 PM-6 PM).
Cybersecurity Resiliency in Industrial Control Systems (PER-398)
Sponsored by the Hawaii Office of Homeland Security, the National Cybersecurity Preparedness Consortium (NCPC) is offering free cybersecurity training workshops! Register for the Cybersecurity Resiliency in Industrial Control Systems (PER-398) on Wednesday, December 11 from 8AM-5PM.
Yoga for Academic Wellness Event
The Student Success Center, in collaboration with the Office of Student Academic Success, will host Yoga for Academic Wellness sessions this December. These classes, designed for all levels, aim to enhance both mental well-being and academic performance. Led by certified instructor Kayoko, the sessions will take place on December 3rd, 10th, and 19th from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM in Queen Liliʻuokalani Center (QLC) 412. Space is limited, and registration is encouraged on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are welcome to attend one or all of the sessions.
2025 Submillimeter Array Interferometry School
The Center for Astrophysics | Harvard and Smithsonian, alongside ASIAA and U.H. will be holding a school in Hilo from January 6-10, 2025. The goal of the school is to provide a broad knowledge of interferometry and data reduction techniques at (sub)millimeter wavelengths for graduate students, postdocs and scientists outside the field of sub-mm interferometry. Some travel support for early-career researchers will be available as needed for participation.
NSA Codebreaker Challenge 2024
NSA is always recruiting bright determined individuals to help protect our country! Are you up to the challenge? Nation-State Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs) are targeting their Defense Industrial Base (DIB) contractors. The infiltration and sabotage of U.S. military operations must be stopped by leveraging skills in reverse engineering, vulnerability research and exploitation, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cryptanalysis, forensics, and programming. The event will take place from September 16, 2024, to January 17, 2025.
